The five mandatory GWO modules for offshore work, taken as one course — from manual handling and fire awareness to working at heights and sea survival.

“Basic Safety Training Offshore (BST Offshore)” brings the mandatory modules for work in offshore wind farms together into one course: Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Working at Heights and Sea Survival. The training follows Basic Safety Training Standard version 20 — the same standard across all five modules.
Promotion: With Basic Safety Training you also get the Chester Step Test and Shoulder Measurement at no extra charge.
You complete the Medical Self-assessment form and bring photo ID. For the sea survival module, bring a towel, slippers and swimwear.
The theory for each of the five modules, within the working day from 08:30 to 18:00.
Practical exercises run at the Bulgarian Maritime Training Centre ground. The centre provides a lifejacket, survival suit, helmet and workwear.
Assessment runs throughout the training. On successful completion you sign the Participant Performance Assessment Form.
Attendance alone does not promise successful completion, a certificate or a WINDA record.
Completed training is recorded in WINDA — GWO’s global online register — against your personal WINDA ID. We make the record and it appears immediately; your employer checks it using your ID. You need a WINDA ID before the course — if you do not have one, we help you set it up on site.

People working in or entering the offshore wind industry who are required to hold the five core GWO modules.
Five days, 08:30 to 18:00 each day. The training is delivered in Bulgarian and in English.
You complete a health self-assessment form before the start and bring photo ID. Swimming ability is not required.
Course materials, equipment and PPE, drinks and the issue of the certificate. There is no WINDA registration fee. The price is final, with no additional charges.
