What you will do on this course
“GWO Fire Awareness Refresher” is the refresher for responding to a fire in the workplace. The refresher runs no earlier than 2 months before the valid certificate expires and no later than the day it expires. The training follows Basic Safety Training Standard version 20.

Conditions for taking part
Who it is forPeople working in or entering the wind industry.
Prior trainingA valid certificate for the same module that is about to expire.
PrerequisitesA completed Medical Self-assessment form and a valid certificate presented at enrolment.
Medical requirementsThe health self-assessment applies to every course.
DocumentsPhoto ID, mandatory.

What you will practise
- Fire Awareness — working safely, preventing and responding to an incipient fire, and using the extinguishing equipment at hand.

Before the course
You complete the Medical Self-assessment form and bring photo ID. Bring your valid certificate as well.

In the classroom
The theory, within 3.5 hours, от 13:30.

In practice
Practical exercises run at the Bulgarian Maritime Training Centre ground.

Assessment and completion
Assessment runs throughout the training. On successful completion you sign the Participant Performance Assessment Form.
Attendance alone does not promise successful completion, a certificate or a WINDA record.

How the course is recorded in WINDA
Completed training is recorded in WINDA — GWO’s global online register — against your personal WINDA ID. We make the record and it appears immediately; your employer checks it using your ID. You need a WINDA ID before the course — if you do not have one, we help you set it up on site.
